What is it?

I don't know what it is in a human, to want to be cruel to others. What makes a person want to say to another person you are ugly, fat, or unattractive. What gives them the right to bring another person down, and what is their reasoning for doing so. I want to know so badly who put these people in charge of who looks good. Who said that they can judge something they had no part in making! What makes you think just because you have the money to spend on items that are expensive and wear what you think is "cool" "hot" or "sexy" makes you better than the people who can't afford those items. I was watching People's court and this girl obviously thought her poo didn't stink. She made it seem like people owed her something for being rich and snobby! I don't think its right to steal or rob but I would hope like something would happen to everything she owned and like she had to start from the bottom, just to make her feel like nothing!! Just to help her see what she truly is, a person just like every one else and nothing is gonna change that. This planet has brought me down so hard with its opinions. Especially the opposite sex...They make me feel worthless like who I am isn't good enough for them...I have to be taller, buffer, perfect smile, or prettier eyes just for them to consider me as a prospect for a guy they would date...Looks first and personality last! I just wanna know how come you can't get to know me and see if who I am matches who you are and would we be good for each other?
So can anybody tell me Why is it this way on this planet? tell me what is it?

Consumers. That's what we are. Society has told us that we have to work jobs we hate so we can buy crap we don't need. The things you own end up owning you. And no one realizes this. That television and movies have told us what people are supposed to look like. Like some Calvin Klein model or something. Is that what a man looks like? Who says? War, poverty, these things don't concern me. What concerns me is celebrity magazines, some guys name on my underwear, 500 channels on tv. People need to realize that media and society have blinded us and crippled us. Blinded us from seeing what people really are, beautiful and unique. Crippled us from becoming who we want to be.

I don't know why we feel like we should have a say so in what others are. It's just Humanity's rebellious sense of pride and arrogance, I guess. I understand...I'm overweight, have glasses, and have no sense of fashion (nor the money to have that sense). My problem seems not to be that girls don't notice me, but that I am only good enough to be the person they come to when they feel bad, the person to vent and rave to, the guy to comfort them. I get stuck in the role of "friend" and it sucks. Most girls are immature. They used to say that girls mature faster than guys, but from my experiences it seems quite the opposite...but then again you and I aren't the typical guys either. We need mature women. Women who are above the whole consumer ideology of our country. It's like what Dan said. Consumerism and materialism is ruining our culture. You have the heart and mind of the Artist, the Poet, the Creative Mind. And people with such great talents often don't mesh well with the society they live in...it's part of being blessed with gifts. But, y'know, I'd not change it for the world. When guys like us find Love (that stupid word), we know what we want and we try our best to make it work. It may or may not, but the ones who understand it most are the Poets, Writers, Singers, etc. Things will get better. If a girl doesn't want you for you then that girl is ignorant and you don't wanna be with an ignorant woman.
